Hello! If you don’t know who we are already, here’s a little introduction.
Greetings! I’m Rory, and I am a 19 year old Military History student, currently taking History and Politics modules (courses to you North Americans!) at Douglas College, Vancouver. My focus is on the Regency/Napoleonic period (1775-1815) but I enjoy so much of what history and politics has to offer, not only as an academic discipline but as a personal pursuit. This is my third time outside of Europe (the first being to Australia when I was 18 months old, the second to Finland 10 years ago) – and my first time properly living away from home (halls doesn’t count!). I can’t wait to meet as many people as possible through hobbies and study whilst we’re here, as I hear that Canadians are the nicest people in the world!
Hi! My name’s Eurgain, I’m 20 years old and I study Anthropology. I’m fascinated by the diversity of human beings and love to learn about the different cultures that exist all over the world. I prefer the practical side of my course and try to make the most of any travel opportunities that come my way; so far I’ve been to Malawi, Zimbabwe, and will also be going to Uganda after our time in Canada as part of my studies. I can’t wait to explore more of Vancouver and become familiar with its fascinating culture, history, and people!
